Far from train station about 15 mins walking opposite to casino. Old style with old furnitures. Staff are helpful. Wifi provided at lobby area.

we felt quite at home in this comfortable hotel. A room had a wonderful view of the Alps. It was large by European standards and very clean. A tasty more than adequate breakfast is included which is taken in a room on the second floor which has a great view. The staff were friendly and helpful. While the Wi-Fi coverage does not include the bedrooms there is ample space in the lobby with a Wi-Fi is very fast. The two little tables with seats by the windows was a most charming place to go online. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.
Restaurant Tip:
there is a great little coffee shop right at the entrance to the hotel.

Well maintained hotel despite its age
Location is near the train station and the view was perfect.

Have nothing to complain about the hotel room even though the toilet might be a little too small. It became abit too noisy in the night with cars honking. Maybe its due to the euro2012 happening during our stay. Overall the hotel is worth the stay for budget tourists.

A very easy walk to the train station, brilliant breakfast with a large variety. Bus stop right out the front and you receive free travel on the bus and train up to Vevey from the hotel on your arrival. Small cafe at the bottom of the hotel does good cheap lunch, which can be hard to find in Montreux! Very friendly staff all of whom speak very good english. Our room even had some decent views of the mountains. The only downside was no Internet in the rooms and having to use a hand-held shower head - 2 very minor things. Would stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you like wine, take the train to Chebrex on any day from Wednesday to Sunday. Start at around 2:30 - 3PM and walk to St Saphorin. On the way you will pass several Cellar Doors and there are a bunch in St Saphorin too. The walk back up the hill a short distance and head to Rivaz where you will pass more Cellar Doors. If you haven't over-induldged at this point walk along the lake to Vinorama for some more tasting or alternatively catch the train from Rivaz back to Montreux.

We loved this hotel.
It is old and charming. Lobby and wonderful artworks on display. Lovely central location. Receptionists were wonderful with assistance. Will definately stay again on next visit. Breakfast was quite basic compared to other hotels that we visited but still sufficient. Great to have wi-fi in lobby complimentary.

overall it's a very nice hotel that brings back the good old pre-war memories. rooms are clean, very comfortable bed & pillows and clean sheets and towers. the only discomfort that we had during our stay was the heating system is not powerful enough to heat up the big rooms that we slept.
breakfast is just ok, nothing fantastic about it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
only a stone's throw away from the casino for those who'd like to try a bit of montreaux luck!
