If you are only staying for a short time (e.g. 1 day) and you are travelling by train then the hotel is fine. The double glazed windows shut out the noise from the train station. If you want to stay longer on the Swiss Rivirea then try one of the other towns as Montreaux while beautiful is very expensive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitely do the Chocolate train trip - you need a reservation.
