Originally founded in 1839, the historic six-story hotel has 47 elegant guestrooms and is situated in the heart of Zermatt.

The Monte Rose Hotel is a short walking distance from the shopping district. It is also very close to the Zermatt Train Station. In 1939, the hotel was erected on the foundations of the legendary Lauber Inn, and was then opened as the Monte Rosa Hotel in 1855. Renowned head chef Albert Wysseier serves seasonal gourmet dinners and buffets at the hotel�s restaurant. In the summer, drinks and food can be enjoyed in the garden, which has beautiful views of the Matterhorn.
