Cheap and chic, this trendy hotel north of the city center is handy to the train station and has a tram stop at the door. A block from the bank of the Limmat, the X-tra Limmathaus comprises a hotel, restaurant, bar and club and sound insulated rooms ensuring no noise from the latter bothers guests in the former. Located a ten-minute walk from the station, the X-tra Limmathaus is in a good position for exploring the city, trams are readily and regularly available and the walk along the bank of the Limmat towards the old town is an unmissable experience, especially after sunset when the lights come on.

The staff were so helpful and nice people. It was in a quiet location within easy walking distance to the main train station. The rooms were spotless. Free internet access in reception.
I only stayed 2 nights in Zurich but the X-tra Limmathaus Hotel and it's staff ensured that it was an excellent 2 nights. The room was very clean and very modern in its style and had plenty of space. The staff always went out of their way to help any guest. The food at the hotel was fantastic. For somebody who wants a hotel that is clean, close to the centre (yet far enough away to avoid the bustle), with top-quality staff and a nice modern atmosphere you cannot go wrong with this hotel.
