Manager (girl) was nice and she tried hard to meet our requirements. But other staff members wer not helpful at all. Our last day, manager agreed to give us an early breakfast but others were not interested and we had to leave hotel without breakfast.
Travel tip:
This is not the hotel which I anticipated by looking at the pictures on your website. Bit misleading.

Thoughtful staff and very cosy hotel rooms
Booking in was so easy. We were early and had a long flight. We got a very early check-in and a complimentary breakfast. The room, bed and linen were all of a good quality.
8.3
The staff were thoughtful, especially when we checked in. The rooftop breakfast gave a good view and the food was more varied than many small hotel breakfasts in Istanbul. The room was decorated according to the theme of the hotel and was nicely appointed.
Travel tip:
Check out the exact location as it is not quite in Sultanmet and the address confused the taxi driver.

Overall satisfied with this hotel where you find a friendly Turkish atmosphere in a Best Western hotel. 5 mins walk downhill from Beyazit tram station

i was disappointed with the location of the hotel. i wished i could have researched more for a better location. noisy in the evening even if windows are close.
rooms are very small. but the service of every staff is impressive.
breakfast was another disappointment. looked like it was recycled from the other day. better go to small restaurant around the hotel (not expensive and taste great)

Nicely decorated and Very Helpful Staff!
Staff, Quality of Room and Bathroom decoration.
8.3
Kunkapi area is sometimes called the "Fish Village," as it was a separate village from Istanbul at some point. This means that there are many fish restaurants in the area, and it seems the Istanbul locals like to go to fish restaurants to celebrate. All night. So this is not a 'quiet neighbourhood.' We were there for five nights (Saturday through Wednesday) and each was very noisy. This is not the fault of the staff, who are very helpful and will do all they can for you. The rooms may vary quite a bit in terms of size, although both of the rooms we stayed in could only be called "small." This seems, however, to be a feature of Istanbul hotels in the old city, as most are in redecorated, older buildings. Both rooms we stayed in were decorated to a proper 4-star level.
The hotel is about a 10 minute walk (uphill) to the tram stop at Bayazid, which runs the length of the old city, between the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque. Bring your walking shoes if you stay at the Amber. Taking a taxi seems a self-defeating enterprise at most times, as the traffic is gridlocked on the narrow streets.
Having said all this, the Amber was very good value for money, and if you want to stay in an area with heaps of local atmosphere, you will love this.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
From the Amber, the tram is a great way to get around, and connects the main sites of the old city. You can also take it over the Golden Horn to modern Istanbul, which is a whole different scene--much more Western and frenetic.

Clean Hotel , but the twins bed room is a bit small , location is not bad but not recommend for the elder travelers , 10 mins uphill to the tram .
lot of workers around , quite near to the old city ,A bit loud in the morning , around 20 restaurants near by .
