Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

We stayed 10 days in Saar Inn at the Exec. Room (i.e their best room). Room was spacious, sheets are clean and changed daily, but not the same clean as you may get in Ibis or Novotel Paris or Istanbul. The hotel is convinietly located close to Metro station and local big bazaar (Ajmal khan road) All in all it is good value for money. The satff are friendly and helpful tipping makes them even more helpful, but once 1 of them got carried away and followed us to the room asking for more tip, which made me not giving him anything afterwards.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Use the bicycle cabs for 30-40 Rupees they will take 2 passengers to the metro station, nearby KFC or Ajma Khan road and it is also fun.

Very Basic , but near all historical places
walking distance to historical locations
6.7
very basic, even complimentary water was not provided. Internet sucks big time in the room . Rooms were clean but very small , washroom extremely small in size. But one thins to remember, you get what you pay for. the worst part is, hotel is surrounded by the area of night clubs and pimps roaming all around all the time. Breakfast was very ok in terms of price we paid.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
can easily walk to grand bazaar, topkapi, blue mosque and st sofia church.

Small smelly room in dodgy area
Close to Aksaray tram station (but not exactly a great area!)
3.3
When we arrived, we were told that our room's not available for the night (we were staying 7 days) as some group had not left and there's no room left for us. The 'manager' told us we had to stay at another hotel arranged by them for that night, and move back to Grand Ant the morning after. We protested, but he just kept saying there's no room. There's nothing we could have done - we were with heavy luggage, had no internet access, so we went to the other hotel. It's definitely not as big as Grand Ant as there's no lobby to speak of. It couldn't be of the same 'class' or charging the same as Grand Ant.
Back to Grand Ant itself. The lobby looks okay, but it's probably the only part of the hotel that's slightly okay (which can fool some people when they first step into the lobby). The room's tiny, and I have to say as a petite Asian person I find it too small, I don't know what Caucasians think. The toilet stinks even before you use it, and if you don't close the door of the toilet, your room stinks too. Another thing about the room is that it can get very noisy at night, with disco beats - the hotel is right next to a disco, so you can imagine, and we already had a room on the upper floors.
The breakfast was boring, and the quality of food was bad. We had one breakfast at the other hotel, and that supposedly worse hotel's breakfast was actually a lot better than Grand Ant's!
The area in which Grand Ant is found is called Aksaray. It's described to be 'dubious' in our Frommer's guidebook in the restaurant recommendation section, and you can quickly see why.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is quite close to Aksaray tram station, which is good for sightseeing, but I think the Sultanahmet area is probably more convenient, safer and much more suitable for families.
