The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Istanbul close to museum and mosques. There are dozens of great restaurants near by, also public transportation is only about 10 min away on foot. The only thing that might bother some travelers could be the rooms, as they are on the smaller side.
I definitely enjoyed my stay and would go back.

Horrible experience at this hotel

Make sure when you book through Agoda that you have the correct number of people selected that will be staying in the hotel. As it was my first booking for my trip, I accidently chose 1 person for a triple room. When arriving the manager damanded that I pay 50 extra euro's per night of my stay as there were 3 people staying in the triple room. I checked Agoda's prices and found that it is only $9.00 more if I selected 3 people to the triple room. The manager asked that I clear it up with Agoda, then when Agoda agreed to make changes, they needed to speak with the manager. The manager started arguing with Agoda about the contract they have with them and demanded that he get paid 50 extra euros a night. Prices at Agoda are better than what the hotel charges. My girlfriend was in tears as the arguing went on for over 2 hours and the manager was being demanding. Agoda finally cleared things up, but I never had such a bad experience with a hotel. This manager made it a nightmare for the first day. The other workers in the hotel are very kind though. Make sure you have the right amount of people checked for the triple room, or you will likely find that the manager will demand what price he sees fit. As for the hotel, the breakfast was dissapointing, I actually bit on a piece of porcelin plate that was chipped and attached to the cheese I ate. We only ate there once, there are many great places to eat in Istanbul, don't waste time on minimal selection and bad food. The bathroom was very small, and toilet area was tight. There is no value for the money.

We were very pleased with the Hotel Blue. The location is excellent...walking distances to Old Town sites, public transportation, and many restaurants. No doubt, the room was small, but it was adequate even when we relaxed in the room one evening. The large windows, view and small balcony made the room seem larger. The interior must have been refinished in recent time, and was in excellent condition. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. The shower was particularly nice. The lobby staff was quite attentive to questions and requests for assistance, even when there was a language difference. For example, one of the bedside lamp fixtures broke one night (the fixture, not just the light). It was replaced within a day. The breakfast was reasonable although somewhat uninspired compared to another comparable Istanbul hotel we stayed at, earlier in our trip.
As someone else commented somewhere, we reserved a "triple" seaview room because supposedly a double seaview room was not available (and the extra room sounded nice). We ended up with a double seaview upon arrival. The difference in room price was small (less than $10), so we did not haggle price or room, but it was a small annoyance.
Overall we were very pleased, and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel is situated in old Town of Istanbul. About 15 mins walk from hotel to Blue Mosque.

The location is walking distance to Grand Plaza for shopping, and also not far from Blue Mosque. Get off at Cemberlitas station and you will see BurgerKing, walk into the alley besides Burger King, and walk through the intersection, turn right on the second block,and it wont be difficult to find the street name then you will see the hotel.
The wifi service is very convenient. Another great thing is various choices of breakfast, delicious and fresh, sweet and juicy fruit. You can have same quality food here as those charged 20 or 30TYL in the restaurant.
The owner and reception desk are always available to help, very friendly and good in English.So you can always get the answer from them without misunderstanding.
If you have more than 2 days in Istanbul, it is absolutely great place to stay.
Restaurant Tip:
there are some cheap local kebab shop near the area, around 7~8TYL, photo menu is available.
