good location both for Old City and New City areas

I stayed here with my friend. We arrived in Istanbul early in the morning and dropped off at the hotel just to leave the baggages, but they let us use the room.
The hotel is within the walking distance from the tram station. If you are planning to explore both the Old City and the New City areas, the hotel is located in between and it would be convenient. Around the hotel there are't any restaurants or shops except for those of the mechanical specialties, but on the other side of the tram station are some restaurants and lots of shops on the way to Galata Tower.
Another feature of this hotel was the good view of Old City from the rooftop restaurant!
