Nice rooms, good location

the location was great for access to the pedestrian street that runs from taksim to tunel. the room and bathroom were clean and it was great having a safe in the room for my valuables. the room was warm (it was winter). breakfast was good. it was nice being able to leave my luggage there after checkout so that i could use my last afternoon there well. i think the map on agoda indicated the hotel was to the south of the pedestrian street which was incorrect and caused me to search around for it for an hour. be careful with this.

Central location but at a price

The hotel is centrally located, rooms are small but clean and modern, a good option for budget travellers who don't want to stay in a hostel. The street is dirty, but seems safe, even at night. The big drawback is the noise from pubs and clubs, even on the 'quiet' side of the building. Ear-plugs are strongly advised. The breakfast is simple (and Turkish, which won't be to the taste of many Western travellers).
A major criticism is the lack of transparency over prices. I booked online for Euro per night per single room, which was supposed to represent a massive 'reduction' - in fact, that was the maximum price I would pay for such a hotel. In addition, one night I had a guest who was asked to pay a double-room supplement of Euro, more than the supplement in most 4-star hotels. We bargained down to Euro. There is no price list anywhere.
All that said, the service was friendly and the hotel was good value for a couple of nights.
