Clean, conviniently located hotel
Very freindly staff, decent breakfast
9.3
i stayed 3 nights at the kent hotel. the location is pretty good for sightseeing on istanbul's european site. the metro/subway is close by and run frequently. you can also walk toward most attractions. it takes approx. 25-30 mins to the airport. you can easily walk to the famous fish restaurant area where you'll also find some relaxing, very old hamams. the "grand bazar" is also in walking distance is is definitly woth a visit. the hotel staff was very helpful, providing a map and advising serveral must-sees. the rooms are spacious and clean. definitly recommandable.

Nice hotel, great location, awesome shower
Big rooms, very clean, breakfast, shower
8.7
I switched from another hotel because the rooms were tiny and I got a very good deal from agoda on this one. The room was quite large with a very clean bathroom and one of the best rain showers I've ever experienced. If it weren't for the environmentally conscious in me, I would've taken 30 minute showers. The location is also very good, as it's just a few steps from the main tram line which takes you all over Istanbul, and a 10 minute walk from the Sultanahmet hippodrome, Blue Mosque, etc, and 5 minutes from the Grand Bazaar.
The only drawback to the place was the internet system. Basically, they give you a username and password, which allows you to connect w/ one device. So if you have a smartphone and/or tablet and/or laptop, you're out of luck. When I nicely suggested that they consider changing the way they do their internet, they were confused why someone would want to connect w/ multiple devices. Hello?
The breakfast is decent, with eggs, olives, cheeses, baked goods, etc. But there is a paucity of fruits. I think that's typical for Turkish breakfasts.
Overall, very much recommended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There's all the standard places to see like the Grand Bazaar, the hippodrome, etc. However, I especially enjoyed the Cistern, the ferry trip to Kadinoy, and walking around the small winding streets of Galata and Karakoy.

Great location, fantastic breakfast buffet
Well situated and only a few metres from the tram line.

i have stayed in two different standard rooms at the kent. the first one looked over the street and tram line. the second one was like a little cave looking into a courtyard at a whole lot of downpipes. some of the staff can speak english but do not go out of their way to be of assistance. rooms were spotless. (i still fail to understand the way in which a bed is made up. a tiny sheet onto a fitted sheet, no duvet and no blanket?)

Great Location and Nice People
Good location just next to the tram station and transferring to the airport by metro and tram.
7.3
the hotel is located next to the tram stop, by which it was very convenient to move around the old city. sutanamhet tram stop is 4 stops away but it is walking distance. airport can be accessed by metro and tram.
the employees of the hotel were very nice and try to assist the guests. wifi from the room was free and showed usable speed. breakfast was rather routine but it was a good meal. if i have a chance to visit istanbul, i will stay there again.

Nice Hotel in the quiet old town of Istanbul
nice hotelemployes, good location right in front of the hotel you find a tram stop, the tram brings you fast and cheap to the other quarters
7.7
the hotel stuff was very nice and they spoke a proper english
Nightlife Tip:
If you prefer the more western and nightlife quarter I would recommend a hotel on the other side of Istanbul around Taksim.
