Lovely hotel, simple and quiet
We felt as we are in our home.

First the taxi driver did not find the hotel, when we reached we felt it is warm place and quiet we felt relax, staff so nice and friendly, we enjoyed the stay, and extended 2 nights as well, you need 10 min walking to reach the Sultan Ahmed mosque, and 5 min to reach the sea, we shifted to 4 stars hotel, Kalyon Hotel, to get better view of the sea, but we enjoyed more in Mangana Konak, wish to go there again.

Good location & quiet street
Close proximity to Sultanahmet sites, quiet street with secure parking right outside the door, friendly & helpful reception staff and effective air conditioning

suited our stay with our adult children in the next room. had no concern about the safety of our car parked right out front. spacious room and comfortable chairs and bed. kitchenette was very disappointing with no crockery or cutlery and luckily we travelled with our own plus our own coffee, tea bags etc as none was provided. not sure why you'd have a kitchenette but not be able to use it properly! the office staff were very friendly and helpful but the other staff were quite dismissive and appeared to lack hospitality training skills. breakfast was fine and suited our requirements well but we did make our own plunger coffee (which we brought with us as we were driving). the bath tub leaked every time you had a shower and the bathroom toiletries were minimal and not replenished daily.
overall our stay was pleasant and the room comfortable enough but the hotel is starting to really show its age, lack of regular repairs and maintenance and attention to details which will make a difference in deciding to book again compared to other nearby small hotels.
Travel tip:
Take yor own tea bags & coffee and go up to the breakfast area and take cups etc down to your room.

unrated hotel located in remotest street of Istanb

its a motel, not a hotel, located in the remotest street of istanbul's old area, with total staff strength of 3 people. its unrated as against Agoda's claim of 4 star. since its back faces sea, breakfast view from the rooftop is good, but rooftop is the size of small bed room, and breakfast is not served fresh, its stale.

you might want to know that to get any pubblica transport you have to walk at least 10 minutes.
the daily cleaning service was not really accurate, and after being in the same room for one week you feel unconfortable.

Four stars hotel in two stars location

firstly, we so question why this hotel claim in four stars but cost is budget.then we found that after walked 20 mins from sultanahmet tramp station through small road and found hotel at the dead end lane.all need google map from tablet as assistant bring you out the labyrinth.otherwise, taxi driver with detailed map is must have for foreigner.
meanwhile, hotel entrance is always closed different from other hotel.so door ringing or call to them is need.
after we access to hotel lobby,situation is better and door room (no. 2004 )was opened then feeling is changed to best.caused room facilities is 4 stars with big room space,small pantry,sofa for guest, 2 working desks,big bath room with whirlpool bathtub that my wife likes it and take her time 1-2 hrs. with jazz music from our own radio.oh! yes.
bed is quite comfort till we both had a deep sleep and wake up late. standard breakfast is included in your paid but hi-light is mamara sea view from roof top of breakfast room.
at evening, we walked to good sea food restaurant that align along the beach road not far from hotel.don't forget keep memory your way back. :-)
for my wife, she said she like this hotel as best from 3 hotels where we stay for this whole trip.and we will back to that room again if possible ( with map ) i and my wife hope you will enjoy and full memorized same us.

We had a very pleasent stay here. The location is very central,about a 10 minutes walk from Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. The rooms were newly renovated and quite comfortable with all the neccessary facilities at close hand. Washroom was very nice and clean with a great jacuzzi. The staff was very sweet and caring. Although the hotel is close to main attractions of Sultanahmet,we felt the that it was situated on a deserted street. However it was not a source of much inconvenience to us as the area is pretty safe. The breakfast lacked in variety though.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is very centrally located,in close proximity to Hagia Sophia,Topkapi,Blue Mosque,Cistern and several Museums.

The Mangana Konak claims it is a boutique hotel. Boutique hotels provide a thorough room cleaning service every day, including replenishing of bathroom amenities, floor sweeping and general cleaning. Hot water is on tap in boutique hotels, particularly in the morning and at night, and reception is never abandoned so that guests are left floundering with no-one to help them. None of these can be found at the Mangana Konak, which is not worth the money nor the self-titled "boutique" moniker.
