There are two hotels with the same name! Be careful! This hotel is really just adequate if you are on a tourist agenda. The rooms are small and the shower is like a phone booth. But hey! It's Old City Istanbul. Every thing cooped up there. It is walking distance to everything important. It needs some maintenance though.

Great Location with great staff
The location is good within walking distance from the great must see sites. The staff is helpful . Feels like home:)

We stayed there for two nights. We arrived early and yet they gave us the room around 9 am. It was also a pleasant surprise to be treated with breakfast too. The front desk, Seda was really hospitable by treating us Turkish coffee and taking time to explain everything, the sights etc etc. The room is warm and the water pressure is high.
Some drawback the breakfast is the same every morning and there are some constructions going on in front of the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you are visiting Turkey, it is not worth it to have a private tour to the Straits 35 Euros 'cos we realized we could have done it ourselves at a fraction of the cost with the regular tour near the port. I think our guide was not too good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Q Inn. The hotel was clean, nicely decorated and very well located, just a few minutes walk from the major sights (including the Aya Sofya and the Blue Mosque). Our room was small and breakfast was simple, but the hotel still presented good value for money. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Restaurant Tip:
We spent an evening at the Cumhuriyet meyhane - often recommended as a key Istanbul experience - and were disappointed. The food was average, the room was full of smoke, and the meal was significantly overpriced.

The hotel is very accessible; very near to everything from tram to shopping centers to restaurants to gift shops, everything. The room is quite small but its well maintained everyday. Hotel staff are friendly and approachable especially the reception. I can recommend this hotel in Istanbul!

Nice place to stay in Istanbul Old City

I've been in Eastern Thrace for about 3 months and just about halftime my son and wife came to visit me for 10 days and we decided to stay in Istanbul for the first two days to show them around in the city, and was hoping to find a clean and comfortable room to sleep in Sultanahmet district on a reasonable price and I can say Q-Inn did not disappoint.
Good location, most of the places of interest (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Saray and many others) are in comfortable walking distance, the tram is also just a few hundred meters away.
Our triple room was a bit too small for three persons, but it was not really a problem for us as we stayed in our room only in the nights anyway and for that purpose it was pretty much ok - it was clean and nicely furnished.
I missed a bit wider selection of fruits (there was only one, a kind of plum) at the breakfast, which was otherwise good.
The only real problem was that the hotel is not accessible by car so we had to carry our luggages (and we had quite a lot) from the parking place to the hotel on the crowded streets.
Nevertheless, on our leave, they helped us to carry the luggages back to the car, so much so that the guy was insisting on carrying all of it and it was not easy to convince him to allow me to carry one of the suitcases and one of the backpacks.
The hotel staff was very helpful and kind in all other aspects as well, they really did their best to fulfill all our requests from a glass of hot water in the evening to information on whereabouts of places we wanted to visit, restaurant recommendations and so on. The receptionist in particular was a nice guy. They also had very good English which is not necessarily self-understanding in Turkey.
All hotel facilities (including Sauna and Hamam) were free of charge, too bad we didn't tried them as we arrived back to the hotel quite late and too tired both days.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Q-Inn, I am quite likely to book it for any future stay in Istanbul

A mixed bag

Excellent support and personal care from staff when illness requiring hospitalization. It was middle of night and duty staff could not have assisted any more than they did. Real problem when we arrived. We had phoned & requested a car pick up at airport. At arrival we spent over 30 minutes searching but no car. As this had happened previously in Turkey, did not think this was exceptional. When we arrived by taxi at hotel, we were met by a very disgruntled manager, Cemil, who virtually held us hostage publically at reception until we agreed to pay for the car he had sent to the airport. He did not believe our story & would not let us access our fully paid for room until we came up with money for the car. I requested an upgrade, which he grudgingly agreed to, but we were still disbelieved , humiliated and subjected to bullying behaviour in front of at least 4 staff and other residents. Other staff were clearly embarrassed by his approach. We felt he was completely inappropriate.

because of the hotel overbooking (the reason was comprehensable, anyway), we had to stay at different hotel, of which quality was far from satisfaction.
for most sections i scored as '2', but actually i don't know exactly 'cause i did not see inside at all but restaurant.
