Friendly staff is not enough.

it started as a good crime movie. we landed in istanbul late in the evening. the guy (driver) with a note raymond confirmed that waiting for me and my travelling companion. he did not speak english. after a few minutes we were already on their way to the hotel. it was after midnight when i realized that we were on the bridge on the bosphorus, on the way to the asian part of istanbul, which is not location for raymond hotel. it turned out that the driver should a pick up raymond company quests and not raymond hotel guests. we returned to the airport and founded our right driver. just after few seconds the new driver caused a slight accident with one of the parked cars. he did not too much worry for such small crash. the rest of the way to the hotel was already without any other adventures.
the first room (303) was loud and very small. from the windows came the noise of air conditioners and other ventilation devices from the hotel and surrounding buildings. it was not the heat, so i can imagine the noise of istanbul summer night in the end of july for example. view from window on the wall about 2 meters away. after the first night, the lovely staff agreed me to move to other room no 106, for what i was very grateful. room slightly larger, on the first floor overlooking the street. the noise of human voices in the night was much nicer than the noise of the fan engines. do not bother me, even early in the morning preparation in the nearby kitchen. location was excellent, close to everywhere. extremely helpful and friendly staff. it was quite clean. hotel terrace presented on the hotel pictures looks real “slightly differently”. do not count on moving scenery or inspiration view from the terrace. we were there once only and we did not missed the terrace atmosphere, even though the waiter tried hard to entertain us. i imagine that most hotels in this area is similar. definitely too expensive. the hotel owner is hoping that the friendly staff cover up all shortcomings.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It is good to rent a speedboat and cross through the Bosporus. Safety and good enough.

Clean and good service
In a good location, quiet but close to everything, clean rooms.

The staff are helpful and polite, the hotel in in a good area, the rooms are clean and well designed but very small, there was also a smell when it rained. The breakfast was sufficient. Would stay again but only at the discounted rate, otherwise expensive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
At the end of the road follow the tram lines to the Blue Mosque and other attractions, about a five minute walk.

Best Hotel in Istanbul for a single traveller
Best location, near to best tourist attractions in Istanbul

best: service is the best of this hotel, room facilities, location neat to all the best of istanbul, easy access just 2 minutes walk to tram station and easy to restaurants and shops.
weakness: room small and lift small.
Hotel Feature Tip:
For the first time check in, make sure your taxi driver know the hotel location, hotel phone number is essential. There are so many hotels around the area.

small room, bathroom had the odour of ammonia. clean room though, light didnt work but they fixed it, i was on teh ground floor next to the elevator with the reception nearby and restaurant below. so quite noisy. basically ok for what i paid and woul dhave been a better experience if stayed upstairs.

とかく安価なホテルに宿泊すると何かしら障害があるもの・・例：シャワーの水圧が低いとかお湯がなかなか出ないとか・・滞在期間中特に困ったことが無く、安心して宿泊ができた。繁華街に近いが治安も悪くなく無事帰国できました。しいて言えば、身体のでかい２人（１８０cmオーバー）だったので部屋の狭さは感じましたがショートステイだったので問題ありません。以上
