Sultanhan Hotel Istanbul Info
The Sultanhan offers a luxurious traditionally first-class Turkish atmosphere with wonderful views of the Blue Mosque and surrounding area. You can't miss the royal reception here at the Sultanhan. With beautiful marbles and dark woods and golden trim and crystal, the style here is that of an Old-World Istanbul. Whether you're enjoying the view in one of your many room packages or networking around the grand gala lobby, the Sultanhan is bound to impress. Enjoy some fine dining and wines in an ambient and wooded atmosphere and return to your elegantly appointed rooms with deep-red Turkish rugs. Lounge around and enjoy an aperitif in some of the antique couches or make your way up to the terrace for great views of the city. Whatever you decide to do at the Sultanhan, you are perfectly located in city center near excellent sites and attractions.

room is not so wide compared with accomodation fee.
Although Turkish bath in this hotel is not so large one, it's very convenient compared with outside one and their service is very good in our case. However, it seems that the receptionist attitude is not so familiar and our first impression is very bad. It may be Turkish style. Basically, it's ok with us except the receptionist.

Very nicely decorated hotel in Turkish style. The roof top restaurant/bar/breakfast area has spectacular views of Aghia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. Nice large rooms decorated with traditional furniture and rugs. Outstanding fresh buffet breakfast. Best location in Istanbul for sightseeing, 3 min to all major attractions in old town
The only minor weakness was that the bed had only 2 pillows but they readily provided 2 pillows when asked. Some of the staff does not speak english but this was not a problem in any way
Very nicely decorated hotel in Turkish style. The roof top restaurant/bar/breakfast area has spectacular views of Aghia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Bosphorus. Nice large rooms decorated with traditional furniture and rugs. Outstanding fresh buffet breakfast. Best location in Istanbul for sightseeing, 3 min to all major attractions in old town. I think that the hotel is a good value for the location, size and style of the rooms and decor. Other hotels in the area seemed very impersonal.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The small Mosaic museum with recently discovered mosaics from the 5th century is amazing. It only takes 15-20 min to see and the age of these mosaics, as well as how complete they are considering their age, is amazing. It is a bit hard to find along a small bazar row located between Aghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. An absolute must for those interested in history and archeology.

View of the room can not be expected
The reception of women supported me, I was feeling very tough. Rooms 20,000 yen / Hashi Hazime nights as the room is more than a narrow view can not be expected. High rate of very good location for old town may have helped.
Nightlife Tip : Japanese, most carpets are sold and many people feel free to come hang in English voice is better not to invite partners to Bottakuriba so.
