My stay was comfortable with easy access to main attractions, not to mention access to public transportation. I was disappointed at the beginning because the hotel wasn't really as shown in pictures. It looked much bigger in pics, but it is very small boutique hotel, but in general the location was quite convenient to do all our trips inside the country

Small hotel amidst the busy trade location

we enjoyed staying in this hotel -- it is close to the laleli train station, with just 2-3 stops away from main tourist attractions of istanbul. the rooms are fairly small, but comfortable. we paid extra charge for additional bed for our child. were quite disappointed that all the facilities outside the room were for additional cost (per usage) -- a tiny pool, sauna and steam bath. the young lady in the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful. speaks many languages.
overall satisfied -- the discounted agoda rate was very reasonable, given the overall prices of accommodation in istanbul.
Travel tip:
Quite shockingly, when getting out of the Ataturk airport (after the luggage pickup point), you need to have a local metal coin to get the cart for luggage. This was so inconvenient for me traveling alone with a small child -- quite an unpleasant surprise, wasn't there some years ago when I traveled to Istanbul.

Small and nice, clean hotel
A good location to the sightseeing places and mass transportation stops like us metro and trams.

The Meretto hotel is located in old city and very close to the sightseeing places like as Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand bazaar etc., Other plus also is located nearby to the metro and tram stops. Istanbul's mass transportation facility is very good from our point of view and very useful in such big city. Hotel room is quiet small and but very clean and nice.
