Run down interiors, old fixtures and fittings

Hotel is run down and needing renovated, but I don't think they need me to tell them that. Its a shame as both the room and bathroom were a decent size. It might be cheaper than average for Aberdeen (which is extortionate in any case), but they are not exactly giving the rooms away, so I'm surprised at the reticence to spend any money on the place. I've stayed at better maintained hotels all over Asia for a fraction of the price. Don't get me wrong, it is perfectly livable for a night or 2, but don't expect the interiors to fill you with joy. Fine for those on a budget. Breakfast was decent and higher in standard than the rest of it.

we only stayed here for one night but from what our perception was of this place was that it had friendly staff and that it was in a pretty good location. The room that we got was a double and we had stairs leading up so we went up and discovered that we also had a separate lounge area with a couch and another tv, which would of been good if we had a few nights here.
