Purdey's Restaurant and Hobson's Bar
Purdey's Restaurant has been refurbished in the style of an old mill, with oak floors, local stone and water features creating an interesting and unique atmosphere. Wainwrights' Inn
A short, pleasant walk from the Estate to Chapel Stile brings you to Wainwrights' Inn, a traditional Lakeland Pub with stone flagged floors, open fires and real ale. Originally part of a 200 year old Cumbrian farmhouse, it has been carefully restored and decorated with many local antiques and curiosities. From the South - Leave the M6 at Junction 36, take the A591 by-passing Kendal.
Follow this Lakeland route past Windermere to Ambleside.

From the North - Leave the M6 at Junction 40.
Take the A66 towards Keswick, then left via the B5322 on to the A591 via Grasmere to Ambleside.
