The iconic 201 bedroom property is currently being transformed with a multi-million pound investment which includes the refurbishment of all guestrooms, lounge areas and events spaces. Many guestrooms have been refurbished to the highest standard and all will be completed by the end of June 2013. The hotel lounge and bar has been transformed and guests can also sample the culinary delights of brand new seafood restaurant, GB1. Those visiting from May 2013 can pamper from head to toe at the new luxurious spa scheduled to open on 1st May 2013. The hotel also offers an extensive range of meeting and event facilities with state-of-the-art technology to guarantee your successful event.

The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble. My only small reservation would be that I felt that the room was quite small considering the money paid. , although I know that this is classed as a luxury hotel.

Experience one of England's institutions
It had a really British feel about it, the staircase and carpet and the breakfasts!

We had an excellent experience at the Grand. A delicious dinner and party in the ballroom with marvellous chandeliers and great views of the sea. What a setting! the staff were very helpful, the night peaceful and the breakfast the next morning superb. Definitely a must visit hotel!
