comfortable hotel near bristol airport

We booked this hotel to stay one night before travelling early from bristol airport. It is conveniently located and very comfortable. The room is more luxurious than other hotels nearby and the price for a room provides better value in terms of comfort. The room was quiet and we had a good nights rest and relaxation prior to our early morning flight.

Stayed in which was fine but the windows in the roof vibrated the rain and kept me awake most the night. Comfortable bed, pleasant staff and the MPW restaurant ''was to die for''

Good location near the airport - nice environment

i did choose this hotel because close to the airport and i had an early flight.
very nice and comfortable. the hotel is located in a nice environment within a small park.
i was just upset by the internet : no wifi available but only cable connexion. moreover, it is over priced something like 15 or 20 pounds a day that is not acceptable nowadays. indeed, i feel internet should be free and wifi. few hotels in uk have understood it : only best western. but in my case it was really over priced.
last, cable connexion did not work at first. they sent me a technician who try to fix it focusing on the cable and wanting to connect it directly to the tv etc ... it was definitly not the best solution and finally he proposed to test my computer in another room where it worked well. so i changed the room.

lovely hotel and surroundings with nice view. nice room and good breakfast although the price is fairly expensive unless you pre-book breakfast.only downside was the evening dinner. you have to pay a fortune in the marco polo restaurante if you want a decent meal. the alternative is in the 'lounge' where the food was of a good standard and a bit cheaper. overall the spa facilities were wonderful and we had a very relaxing time here. room was very stylish although would be nice if there was a fridge in the room.
Restaurant Tip:
The Indian restaurant called Monsoon is located about 3 miles away in Clevedon and it serves lovely Indian food! Highly recommend & great service also!

Great hotel

The stay was fantastic, we had the normal Hilton problem which is locked out of room with card not working when we returned from day trips (this seems to only happen in Hilton hotels). They had a number of events like a wedding while we were there and they did not impact on us in any way which was great.

Good stay - BUT did not live up to expectations

My husband and I stayed here for one night on the way back home from a wedding in the South West. We got a good deal on Agoda, so the shortcomings didn't seem quite as bad as if we had paid the full rack rate.
The hotel is beautifully situated in stunning grounds, although there is a very steep approach to the hotel (so not good if you are disabled or have a pushchair). It's also not as close to the M5 as it claims to be and the car park is quite a walk from reception. All of the rooms are in the new modern wing and not the older prettier building shown on the website.
On check in, there was some complication with credit cards. We were told that if we wanted to charge anything back to our room they just needed to take an imprint of our card and the receptionist mumbled something about taking £30 but that the money wouldn't actually be taken at that point. When she swiped our card and I checked the receipt it was actually for the price of our reservation PLUS £30 PER PERSON - so over £120 - which seemed a bit ludicrous, especially as I had already paid for the room in full over a month ago! The receptionist was quite helpful, and agreed it was a silly system. It was quite a faff and it would have been much easier to have paid as and when we needed to as we went along.
Our room was OK, and the spa was lovely.
We had an excellent meal in the Marco Pierre White Restaurant.
