I found the Hotel to be clean, very friendly staff. Comfortable bed, great powerful shower.
Food excellent, evening meal and breakfast.
Overall defenitly a Four Star Hotel. Outside, exterior paint, windows ect looked a little shabby. I found Angel Hotel Cardiff to be excellent value for money, definitly a four Star hotel, very friendly staff were nothing is to much trouble.
Food is excellent although evening meal a little expensive.
This hotel is situated right next door to the Castle, ideal hotel if your exploring Cardiff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definitly take the sight seeing bus, as there are lots of attractions spread out across Cardiff and you can hop on and off as you like and the tickets last 24 hrs.

excellent location. Registration desk staff very pleasant and helpful, professional. This hotel was MUCH better than what we had found in London. An insignificant problem ... we were first given a room with a single bed. This was immediately corrected with multiple apoligies My wife and I stayed at the Angel in October 2008. It is an excellent older, up-scale hotel that has been extensively remodeled. It is a good location, across the street from Cardiff Castle. Rooms were much larger than the rooms we found in London hotels.
Although we did not require it, the room we were in was designed for someone with mobility issues. The bathroom was very well designed (i.e., "roll-in" or wheelchair accessible shower).
Registration desk staff were professional, VERY pleasant and helpful. This hotel was MUCH better than what we had found in London.
Easy walking distance from Cardiff Central Rail Station.
Restaurant Tip : Enjoyed eating at O'Neills and Prince of Wales were we found good food at a reasonable price. Bothe are easy walking distance from the Angel Hotel.
