Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Friendly staff ,nice room, very clean. Not good for food resturant was closed Sat and Sun night due to wedding. A bit noisey due to music for the wedding party. Could do with better signage from the road as quite difficult to spot.

rooms good size, and clean.
8.7
My room not ready on arrival at 2pm, awkward as attending wedding at 3pm and had to get changed after 3 hour journey. I had to use another guest's room. Then had to start hauling my belongings into my room at 11.30pm, after wedding reception.
Apart from that , room very comfortable
Hotel Feature Tip:
No shower cap in bathroom, but had shampoo and shower gel

easy check-in and check-out
7.7
Nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a nce warm fire area in the restaraunt by reception. Check-in and check-out were both very fast and easy. Location is ok so long as you have a car. Supermarket and mall directly across the road is handy.

Isolated in place and in staff communication
it's a clean and relaxed place
3
It is an isolated place. The stuff didn't give me a litle map with an explanation of how take the bus. The staff didn't talk me, and I asked them, that there was a dead time to send clothes to londry. They din't say me that there is a Coal Museum !!! The stuff has a hard accent (perhaps Gaelic), and when I didn't undestand their phonetic, the girls didn't write it in a paper with capital letters.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
NO one information.

Comfortable, friendly hotel
6.3
Generally a comfortable, quality hotel with friendly staff. Excellent leisure facilities with very good pool, but let down a little by the restaurant. The food is supposed to be locally-sourced but has the taste and feel of a not especially good gastro-pub, as if cooked up quickly from frozen. Also disappointing to find that with an already limited wine list the first two wines chosen were unavailable. Rooms comfortable if uninspired.
Shopping Tip:
Excellent large Marks & Spencer almost across the road

reasonable value
good gym, running track, lake

drawback: location at culverhouse cross, nightmare to find your way round multiple roundabouts, long way from city centre
convenient for m/ways etc, out-of-town shops, petrol

Very dated, dark, hot and stuffy bedrooms.
Good size rooms but not four star standard
5
Bedroom - very dated furniture and decor making it dark. No central room light, only bedside and desk lamps. Views of a car park and delivery area at the side of the hotel with deliveries arriving at 8am making it very noisy. No air conditioning which made the room very hot and stuffy. The hotel provide a small fan which just circulates warm air. Bed was two singles pushed together. Pillows had the most disgusting large yellow stains - check your pillows in the cases!
Spa facilities - The whole area could do with a good clean. Generally very dirty with dated open changing rooms. Good size pool. Jacuzzi was a good size, seating up to about 8 people but luckily my partner and I had it to ourselves. If you want to be alone, go about 2-4pm. Steam room had four out of ten seats out of order with a horrible printed sign on each seat in a A4 plastic wallet stuck to the seats.
Breakfast - very expensive at £14.95. No tea/coffee pot. You have to get tea/coffee yourself from the urn. No change in breakfast items for the three days we were there.
Parking - free and good spaces
Location - Based in a retail park near the motorway.
Cardiff City Centre is 10-15 mins drive away.
I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a real spa break. It is very dated with old facilities.
However, this hotel is ideal if you are on a business trip and need a desk in your room, with the option of going for a swim if you have time (although beware that internet access is horrendously expensive).
I rarely complain about services, but when I expected nice spa facilities with rooms matching the phots on the website, I feel compelled to warn other travellers so they are not disappointed.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Visit the spa when it is quiet at 2-4pm but take flip flops and your own large towels. The hotel provides towels like hand towels. The floor is dirty.

Nice hotel, great location, great service
Service is friendly and efficient, location is great for city and local area
8.3
Made very welcome, staff efficient and engaging. Room was very comfortable and clean, though looking a little tired. Stayed on a very humid night and the lack of aircon in the room or ability to open windows wide (top floor and near a road that gets very busy in the early morning with commuter traffic) made it less comfortable than it could have been. Overall though very happy with the service and stay.
