i thought this might be a good solid hotel at the price - it is actually much better than that and i enjoyed my stay very much.
the staff are so friendly and helpful and seem to anticipate how they can assist.
the room was very nice, spotlessly clean and with everything you would need.
i paid for the full breakfast in advance and i wasn't disappointed. the full breakfast will take you through much of the day and is delicious and generous. i would recommend it. you don't have to book it in advance though, you can pop down in the morning, take a look and book it then at the very same price. were i going back, i'd book in advance though, it's so good.
continental breakfasts are on offer too and they seemed quite good also.
Hotel Feature Tip:
This hotel is outside Chelmsford town itself. If you have a car, there's plenty of parking and excellent road connections. I didn't have a car and used taxis, costing about £10 from the railway station. The hotel can order a taxi for you too and the same driver collected me throughout, a very nice man indeed and completely reliable.

Good hotel with friendly and helpful staff
convenient location and competetive price

the standard met our expectations from this chain. traffic noise was a problem which meant we had to have the window closed. in the summer we would have preferred to have the window open at night. good choice of breakfasts available - cooked, continental or takeaway.
