A small and charming boutique hotel, located in Inverkeithing, just a few miles to the north of Edinburgh. The Boreland Lodge Hotel is an ideal choice for those in Edinburgh as spectators at the Knockhill Racing Circuit, as the race track is just minutes away. This friendly, family-run hotel offers just 30 comfortably furnished rooms, secure parking, and a cosy Scottish pub, serving traditional ale and hearty fare. Aside from the nearby race track, other attractions easily reached include the Deep Sea World, one of Europe�s finest aquariums, with a 120 meter long underwater tunnel, that allows one to get a fisheye view of some of the ocean�s fiercest predators. Reaching the center of Edinburgh is simply a case of strolling to the nearby train station and making the short journey into Haymarket Station, and from there all the attractions of the old town are easily explored on foot.

Friendly, easy to find, helpful staff, very good prices.
Staff not always around if there's a problem at night. Small rooms and dated bathrooms. Couldn't make radiator work.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very small, but we were out all day so didn't really mind, it was fine for the price. The bathroom was dated and not what you'd expect from a hotel but again we just needed somewhere cheap to sleep and it fitted the bill. Our only big problem was that the heating in our room didn't work and we were freezing all night. There are no night staff and we got back late so weren't able to ask anyone to help.
Overall, small, quirky hotel with nice people. Very basic but also very cheap so it balances out!

Staff helpful and friendly
Room felt small and cramped
Stayed at the boreland lodge as it was close to Edinburgh (roughly 15mins on the train). The hotel had a bar and served meals but we only ate breakfast(which was fine). On the whole our stay was pleasant enough with the staff very helpful and friendly but i wouldn't agree that its a place for a romantic getaway as the double room we booked was very basic and cramped and the place could do with upgrading.

Friendly reception, good food, good price for budget traveller
The hotel is at housing area, quiet neighbourhood, near to the deap sea world. I drive there so don't know how near is the station. The food/dinner there are XXL size it can serve both myself and my wife in just one person's order (maybe because both of us thin and small size. U know.... Asean's size). Very friendly and helpful reception. Its a nice place to stay if u are searching for a relaxing and budget trip.
