The hotel is ok for a night over but it misses a decent place to sit and have a drink: a bar is necessary in Scotland! The rooms are clean but small, the bathroom has all you need but not more. It's walking distance to the Royal Mile which makes it a good place if you only need a bed to sleep in.

the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. the location is very good as it is only a 5 min walk to princes street and close to shops and pubs. bar prices are pretty steep but the service was faultless as the staff were so helpful and couldnt do enough to help.

Nice quiet location just off the Royal mile

When we arrived we were greeted at reception by very helpful staff. They gave us excellent advice on places to visit and eat and gave us a map of the loacl area. The hotel is down a side street of the royal mile and is actually on Cowgate which our taxi driver informed us. The hotel was always clean and staff happy to help.

The hotel is at the corner of Cowgate and it is easy to get around once you know the short route. It is 1 Straight route away from Royal Mile where you can get souvenirs etc.
I like the fact that they have SKY TV and WIFI throughout. Friendly staff and they serve a simple breakfast for all guests who stay.

the hotel is close to waverly station. the hotel is at great location. the great staff who seemed to really be genuinely interested in our well-being made up for it ten-fold.

staffs are polite and good breakfast is served...
hotel is accessible to most places of interest around the royal mile...
the accomodation cost is worth the price..would go back again if i ever return there...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
suggest bring your handphone with gps enabled if doing self travel so as to explore edinburgh by foot !!!

very clean room, well organised staff & surprisingly good breakfast

only stayed for one night, but everything in my room was fine and I don't have any complaints. The Agoda price made the hotel excellent value for money. Vey good wi-fi internet connection, comfortable bed & a good choice on the pay-for-view TV (including foreign channels). A good choice for a night or two in the city centre
Nightlife Tip:
Cowgate is full of bars and nightclubs. It's probably really noisy and boisterous on some nights. Fortunately I was there on a quite Sunday
