Quiet but central location (just a few minutes' walk from the Royal Mile), friendly service, large room with huge comfy bed, decent buffet style breakfast was included in the price.
very few. unfortunately the KFC on the corner of the street means the street the hotel is on gets pretty messy - but this is nothing to do with the hotel.
My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay here. The rooms are large with huge beds and bathrooms which are modern but tastefully decorated. The room was a bit dark with only one window but that is only a slight criticism. The hotel is very central, just a few minutes from the royal mile with lots of good restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The staff were friendly, especially the breakfast staff. The hotel was very busy when we stayed being a bank holiday weekend, so we had to wait a few minutes to get seated for breakfast each morning but again no real problem as we weren't in any hurry.
All in all an excellent hotel for the price.
Restaurant Tip : For a romantic dinner in a traditional setting try the grain store on victoria street, just a few minutes from the hotel. You can grab a cocktail at "The Village" on the way.
