Menzies Hotel Glasgow

On the arrival we were not allowed to check in as we had to wait until 2 pm. We left the luggage and went for a football game and came back about 6 pm. We had ordered a standard room which turned out to be a single room with a double bed. We would like to have a twin bed room but this was impossible and I had to go back two times to get an extra bed in the room. When I asked for a single room, the answer was that it was a double room even when it was for only one person, ie. only one towel, shampoo and so on.

Good bar with very nice bartenders.

Almost too many to mention but the hotel is located a bit outside the centrum but it will take you about 5 minutes with taxi or 15 minute walk to get to the centrum.

• Travel tip : Close to the highway and the river but located close to warehouses and nothing else.

The Menzies hotel provided an excellent location easy access from the motorway, used the directions provided via the Agoda website, Agoda also provided the best room price we could find at short notice. The hotel lobby was welcoming and we were approached by staff offering help immediatley we entered the fromt door. The hotel is also in an excellent position to access the city centre shopping areas, and the SECC. The bar served sirlion steak was good, nad we made full use of the fitness centre and pool facilities. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel provided by Agoda. Highly recommended.

Staff very helpfull, the room was a good size well equiped and clean, contemporary decoration, tried the steak for dinner was very good and the excellent fitness and spa faciltes were a great start to the day.

A lot of hotels especially abroad provide free internet access. might be an idea £12.99 a bit expensive if you are only checking your e mails.
