Food, Drink and Entertainment
The hotel also has Addendum Restaurant and Brasserie.
Addendum Brasserie Sit back and relax in our unique street level, full length glass fronted brassiere, whether it is for a continental or a la carte breakfast, a light lunch or an afternoon speciality tea with your choice from our selection of homemade delicacies. The best place to relax in an informal atmosphere throughout the day enjoying a light modern bite.
Addendum Restaurant The décor is glamorously subdued, with interesting lighting adding a contemporary element and creating an intimate relaxed environment. Rich dark leather Banquette booths create a sophisticated and discreet ambience making this a good choice for business dining with more open areas that can comfortably cater for larger numbers.
Bar, City of London The place to unwind and rendezvous, a very metropolitan outlook with that inner-city feel, meet for an aperitif pre dinner, or a few cocktails to start the evening before hitting the town. Sit back listening to a mix of urban style music whilst supping your own concoction, enjoying a light bite and before you know it the small hours of the morning will have crept up on you.

Good wireless internet access and free.
Room was clean and the temperature was just right.
Reception staff friendly and efficient.
Room was quiet.
Breakfast staff unfriendly and unhelpful.
Room very dark.
Hotel felt lonely and lacked atmosphere.
I booked at Apex City of London because of the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. It was central to where my meetings in the City were taking place so that I was able to walk to them. Reception staff were friendly and efficient however I found other areas to be cold and unwelcoming, especially breakfast. I was not offered the option of a cooked breakfast, had to find a waitress to ask for coffee and was not shown where to find the buffet. I was disappointed in this hotel when comparing to other hotels I stay and therefore did not find it to be good value for money.
Hotel Feature Tip : Good wireless internet access

Close to Tower Hill tube station (on the circle line)
Apex is a great hotel in a great location. The rooms are newly furnished (if a little on the dark side).
The complimentary breakfast was a great feature, especially in London

Clean, friendly staff, easy walk to the Tower tube station.
Breakfast was unimpressive but adequate. Location in eastern London not ideal if you want to walk to major tourist spots such as museums, Parliament, the Eye, etc.
Contemporary hotel located in east London very near the Tower Bridge. We used this a base for visiting the Tower, Tower Bridge, Eastbank (the Old Globe, farmers' market, great pub tours). A long taxi ride if coming from Heathrow, but several of the transport services have fixed prices from airport to hotel, so this was not a problem for us.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : London tours are available adjacent to the London Tower, easy walking distance from the hotel.
