Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Luxury but a bit pricey
Location is good The room is comfortable and has all facilities needed; however, i can find equally nice rooms at lower price in London.
8.7
Free breakfast come with the room was a bit disappointing, only breads and cereals..

Location, location, location!

Good location, quiet and comfortable rooms with a good continental buffet breakfast, served in a nice ground floor room that was light and airy. I would recommend this hotel for a short London stay.

Great location, but dated
6
At first glance, I was really impressed with this hotel. It is in a great location and at first it looks fantastic. I hate to be one to complain about little things, but considering the price of this place, I feel that it is only right to do so. The rooms are absolutely tiny, the decor is extremely dated and some of the furniture is even falling apart. I can overlook this as it made it feel a bit more rustic in a way. My issues were that the current owners have not been given their alcohol licence yet and we were not informed of this at any point prior to booking or upon arrival, the first we knew was when we decided to head back early and have a drink at the hotel before bed. The booking stated that breakfast was included, however in actual fact a continental breakfast is included and if you want a full English it is another £7 per head. I just think that considering the cost (we paid over for 1 night) breakfast should be included and we DEFINITELY should have been informed that the bar is not licensed - especially as there are posters all over the hotel advertising and pizza and beer deal that they offer! Overall I was really disappointed with the place and I wont be booking again.

Looked forward to a break, got the package with champagne but got none on arrival. However, we had bigger problems when we entered our room and walked into our bathroom...!!!
The toilet was covered in a GIANT CRUSTY URINE STAIN!!!!
We called the reception and the porter came up and cleaned it with the toilet paper when he should have really used some disinfectant.
We couldn't face breakfast as if this is the attention paid to cleanliness of the rooms one can only imagine what happens in the kitchen!!
Needless to say we didn't relax and the time was ruined.
We got in touch with the manager and after "investigating" the matter for a few days he wrote a long email which was just a gobbledygook of how they take pride in this that and the other and their reputation etc and offered as a compensation a night at the hotel at a reduced rate(more or less the same you can get online). We explained that we are unlikely to need a stay at a London hotel anytime soon and thought some sort of refund would be fair. The manager said there is nothing he can do and produced another long generic email about how they pride themselves on customer service etc
The management really don't care about your comfort or enjoyment so don't bother spending your money here!!

Great location, room somewhat small
Boutique character of hotel lended itself to more personal service

Hotel very close to Gloucester Rd tube station which enabled easy access to most of central London. Charming decor in room which made up for smallish size. They did have some problem with the air conditioner in room on 3rd & last night of my stay & I was forced to open window which did not provide much relief as it did not open fully. Concierge, Steve, was particularly helpful during my stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Kensington Gardens/Serpentine Gallery & Victoria & Albert Museum/Natural History Museum are easy walks from the Ashburn albeit in different directions but concierge will guide you & supply you with map

Great find in excellent location
friendly staff, ample sized rooms, many little extras,eg free champagne each night, lovely breakfast room
9.7
we would recommend this boutique hotel to virtually any age traveller. the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are decorated beautifully and the beds are superbly comfortable. we found that it was possible to walk to harrods area in less than 20 minutes and there is a tube at gloucester road about 3 minutes walk away. this was extremely handy as you can travel direct to heathrow from this tube station.
buses are frequent on cromwell road and if you purchase an oyster travel card then london is very accessible.
we would stay here again without hesitation as it is a very good, safe area of london.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
To visit Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey take a bus to Piccadilly then either a number 12 or 88 bus from Haymarket. The London Eye is also in this area and is a well worthwhile trip. Also take a tube from Gloucester Road to Monument station to visit both London Bridge and Tower Bridge and the tower of London. A very easy option transport wise.

Perfect for a quick stay in London
Spacious room and friendly service

this was my second stay in the same week while i transiting london. the room was on the first floor and very spacious, with a small couch. unfortunately, apparently this was a smoking room, and no one had asked in advance if that would be ok (although to be fair i never raised the issue with the hotel staff). the breakfast was great, and wireless connection excellent. the location is great, too, just a block west of the gloucester road underground station.
