this is a wonderfully located london hotel for shopping, sightseeing or cultural acticities. it is well run and friendly, the rooms are well appointed and the public areas are beautiful. the cuisine is also first rate and the bar is most attractive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Visit the Royal Academy of art--always has good shows

We always enjoy staying at the Athenaeum, the staff are always excellent. Very good position for walking into Knightsbridge. Only fault - bit of a wait for a cooked breakfast (about 20mins.)

Delightful London Hotel

This is a delightful hotel with a wonderful staff. It is in my favorite location--close to shopping, museums and sights. The rooms are well appointed and roomy and the restaurant is first rate. Also has a fine newly renovated fitness room and spa.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a walk across Green Park to Buckingham palace to see the changing of the guard

Lovely slightly quirky hotel with great staff

As above. This was our second time getting a bed that was essentially a single bed, even when they turned it down for the night they just did it for one person ie one pair of slippers left out etc.
It's a gorgeous hotel and we have stayed there many times but you need to check on the beds. they did put us in a different room for the rest of our stay

Lobby is small but nice but room was dark and small. Bathroom door couldn't open entirely because it was so small. Free soft drinks and snacks in mini bar, but had to ask to replace them. Bed comfortable. Luxury price but modest room. Business center lacking, not even a color printer.

This is a wonderful hotel, very well run, with a friendly and efficient staff and a beautifully renovated building. The rooms are large and well appointed and everything is done to make you feel at home. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit to London.
