Apart from being centrally located, our stay wasn't enjoyable.

We were not pleased with our stay. The rooms were not cheap at all. We could have gotten much better hotels at a similar price. Rooms at Avni are old (eg. Door handles are spoiled) and there were limited facilities available in the rooms and the hotel itself. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.

Average; not all rooms of the same value are the same - we had to change rooms twice because the first room allocated to us was very run-down (peeling paint, broken shower) and in the second room, we had a shocking experience where we were checked in to a clean room at midday, and when we returned at night to our room, maintenance staff had entered while we were away and left the room in a poor state (empty coke cup on the cupboard, dirty towels on the bathroom floor), and when questioned the hotel staff because we were scared someone had broken in, they couldn't even give us a sure answer as to whether a maintenance team had been in or not. Very irresponsible. We were then finally shifted to a better room, but was a huge inconvenience.

very close to tube station. quiet location. close to waitrose and Tesco and several restaurants. Breakfast pretty good. Did get a bit stuffy in room though and lights in hallway take a few seconds to come on. Also wifi not great.

We were pleased to arrive at the Avni within 5 minutes of alighting at Gloucester Road station. Check-in was a breeze and we were soon in our room. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, a flat screen TV, and a decent sized bed. The room was clean and comfortable but was let down by the tiny window and tatty curtains. A full suite of English channels and Adult channels were screening (may not be suitable for families with children). WIFI was fast and stable and we were extremely glad to be able to finally use our 3-pin UK plugs. I guess the main gripe about the room is the low water pressure and water that was too hot for us. Breakfast was ordinary and was the same throughout our stay. Gloucester Road station is along the Kensington line that runs along St Pancras station and Heathrow Airport so it's quite convenient.
