Bedford Hotel London Info
Close to the British Museum and within walking distance of Covent Garden, this intimate and inexpensive hotel is handy to London's top locations. Located in Bloomsbury, just a few minutes' walk from Russell Square tube, Bedford Hotel is a short ride from Soho and The Strand. The hotel features a quiet garden and bright, modestly decorated rooms that overlook either the garden or the pretty Southampton Row. The hotel is in a desirable location, being close enough to the West End and the South Bank to walk (not that public transport isn't right at the door), and the immediate vicinity offers up plenty of dining and drinking options. Even the Savoy isn't that far away, if high-priced pots of tea and cucumber sandwiches are in order.

Good location in central London.
the boiler is broken. The room is old and the toilet is bad.
The room is old and the heater doesn't work - it's freezing ! Need to move to another room three times within 2 nights !
Not worth for money at all. Poor service.
No operator to pick up the call in the evening, imagine if you have an emergency call from outside.

Location; Very attractive outdoor smoking area; Basement car park with discount.
No real bar as such. Traffic noise in street facing rooms.
The hotel is in a great location. Only minutes walking distance from Russel Square, The British Museum, Covent Garden and many West End Theatres.
Although rated as three star the facilities would warrant four stars. Large bedrooms with tea and coffee, television and hair dryer and good sized bathrooms. Breakfast buffet was excellent and very courteous staff.
Restaurant Tip : Pizza Express directly opposite hotel.

Great location - right around corner from British Museum, lots of delicious restaurants right across the street. Try the Hason Raja for some great Indian food! Walking distance (approx. 15 - 20 min) from lots of great attractions, including Trafalgar Square and National Gallery.
Rooms are extremely plain. You can tell the hotel was built in the 70s. Street outside is quite loud at night if you have your windows open even the tiniest bit.
The Bedford is excellent for the traveler on a budget who doesn't plan on spending much time in his/her hotel room. It is walking distance from many great attractions, from the British Museum (right around the corner!) to Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery (15-20 minute walk, depending on your pace). There are also lots of delicious restaurants right across the street from the Bedford, which was perfect when we were hungry and weren't sure where to go. Try the Hason Raja for some fantastic Indian food! The hotel isn't particularly attractive (much of the decor is clearly from when it was built in the 1970s), and the street outside can be quite loud at night if you want to have your windows open. But, if you're willing to keep the windows closed and only use the room for sleeping and showering, the Bedford is an excellent place for you! The price is certainly fair!
Restaurant Tip : Check out the great restaurants across the street! Quality food and quality service!
