Horrible hotel

Cant think of any... Maybe location?

this is a very creepy hotel. the room given to me was on basement and the window has no window grille. this means i can't open the window at all because anyone could just climb in my room. the lighting is so dim that it look so scary at night. the bed sheet and blanket look so dirty as if it has not been changed for weeks...

Boka hotel is a good location if you have a easyBus to Gatwick especially earlt in the morning. Only 3 min walk to its departure point. Hotel itself is totally average but not a bad option. I think Earl's Court area is bit far from city centre compare with other budget hotel area in London(Victoria, Bayswater or St.Pancras) but if you prefer this area, Boka hotel will be OK. Breakfast is completely English one and staff are very friendly. Only a negative point is small shower booth as some people saying.

Good low budget option

friendly helpful staff, good location near tube station, cheap

The Boka Hotel was nothing special, but for the price it did the job. The room was small and clean, although the drain in the bathroom was smelly. There was a small kitchenette with microwave which was handy. There is no internet in the rooms which was annoying for me, but there was 24 wireless internet available in the basement (dining room).

The Owner Simply Does Not Care

I was very disappointed with the condition and the staff at this hotel. When we first arrived we pointed out three things to the staff; the was a missing light bulb in the bedroom, the sink in the bathroom was plugged and very slow to drain aqnd there was no remote for the TV. It took 3 days of polite reminder to the staff for any to happen. One staff member even told us that since there were two other light bulbs in the light fixture that did work then that was sufficient. The plugged sink only needed some drain cleaner to fix but that took three days. I believe this happened after I "jokingly" said that I did not want to get stuck with a plumber's bill for the stopped up drain. On our last evening at the Boka we did get a new monitor type TV and remote, but by then it didn't really matter because it took too long to fix the problem. The Boka was, in its day a nice hotel. It shows, even through the built up dirt and grime. The main problem is that Boka's day is long past. The efficiency unit we had was small to begin with and cramming two beds into the small bedroom only made matters worse. There was a ratty old dresser and cupboard in the room and it was impossible to really use them as it was so crowded with the two beds. There was a full English breakfast every day and this was fine for one or two days. It grew tiresome after that. There were no other choices for breakfast other than to ask for things to be left off of the traditional English breakfast of toast, beans, bacon, sausage and fried eggs. "Yes, this morning I think I will not have the beans." There was suppose to be WiFi in the room but the signal was so weak that we resorted to going to the basement dining roon in the evening to do research and stay in touch with friends and family. In the evening, the breakfast dining roon was changed into a smoky, loud dining room for those who appeared to be long term guests/workers/owners, who knows. Overall, don't stay at the Boka. The owner doesn't care.

A good hotel for self catering and sightseeing

kitchenette, location, breakfast

After booking we found a few negative reviews and were apprehensive, but we were very pleased with our stay. We arrived early and were able to store our luggage. The small kitchen attached to the room with a microwave was convenient and meant that we could save money by buying pre-cooked food. The included hotel cooked breakfast was a surprise plus. The staff were polite. It was very near a zone 2 tube station for quick direct travel into the city. The bedroom had two beds leaving little room space, the one double bed would have been better.

Great location and service with smile

The best part of the hotel of its standard is simply they have lift. No trouble in bringing up luggage to higher floor

the location is great with very short walk to underground station. Good access to all parts of London. Mini kitchen complete with utensils in the hotel room is a good advantage.

Hôtel convenable

Situation, tarif, cuisine
8.7

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Unbedingt einige Märkte besuchen!
