Wonderful location, comfortable rooms, boutique
Fantastic breakfast options, beautiful comfortable rooms, first class extra touches such as L'Occitane bath products & organic chocolates, honesty bar is an amazing extra, great staffs

This was our second stay in 3 years. We will always stay here when we travel to London. The rooms are extraordinary and the most comfortable bed we had throughout our Africa, Europe & UK trip. The breakfast options are outstanding with the freshest food you could find in London. The luxury L'Occitane bathroom products are lovely and a special touch. Complimentary organic chocolate left each day is a wonderful idea, as is the honesty bar. This has the affect of feeling like you are at a friends house. Staying at the Church Street Hotel is such an oasis in busy London.

lovely lovely hotel
great character and lovely breakfast
8.7
i would recommend this as a great place to stay, i was lucky to be given a free upgrade (i didn't ask they had perhaps just run out of normal rooms). the hotel is very quirky and the honesty bar is a lovely idea. only downside is it is very far from tube connections. but there are plenty of busses.

Though small rooms, lovely cozy hotel
loved the cute decoration and warm service

We loved the hotel's decoration, their Loccitane amenities, and their complimentary chocolate and homemade chilly sauce souvenier. Their lounge was open for self service drinks, which were nice as well. Breakfast was simple but good.
Their location seems far away from the metro, but we found it very convient they have a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Supermarket was also 3minutes walk away.
The only complaint is their small room that we had trouble opening our suitcases and walk in the room, but I think it's a common problem for big cities.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Really loving their souvenier hot sauce. It is cery spicy but yet very addictive, I use it on many food back home!

Originalt hotell med trivevlig atmosfære
Unik stil og hyggelig betjening.
6.7

Let down by plumbing
Friendliness, cleanliness and breakfast
8.3
almost everything about this place was excellent, but it was severely let down by its plumbing. the location is reasonable depending on your wishes. it's a reasonably accessible bit of south london, but not the very easiest if you are after the major tourist sites. the place itself is immaculately presented. everywhere is spotlessly clean. decor is a rather idiosyncratic lot of religious iconography, which certainly gives the place a very individual character. there's a 24 hour honesty bar with a comfortable room in which you can sit and relax quietly, a luxury not found in every london hotel. breakfast was continental-type, but absolutely superb; croissant and pan chocolat from neal's yard wholefoods etc, especially good freshly squeezed fruit juice and other really high quality products. the reception staff were friendly efficient and welcoming. in many ways i'd have liked to have given this place all round good reviews. however, a shower that works intermittently is just not good enough, and neither is a toilet whose cistern needs dismantling and reassembling after every flush. please sort your plumbing out so it no longer lets you down!

Very interesting and clean hotel with friendly staff. My room was a bit small for longer stay (no place where to put luggage, except the floor or chair) but for the rest it was O.K.
Good connection to the centre, but it needs a bit time as it is bus connection.

Nice hotel and great location
Close to bus stop, nice breakfast

we arrived to find out there was a problem with our booking through agoda. even though we specified 2 people, we had a single room and only one could stay in the room according to the management. the staff upgraded us to a double room (which agoda ended up paying the difference in price). the room was very nice, although small. the bathroom was nice, although it was very narrow. several positives are that the hotel is about 2 minutes or less from a bus stop with buses going every 5-10 minutes to victoria station. also, the breakfast was nice. there were smoothies, freshly squeezed orange juice, cereal, croissants from a local bakery, and boiled eggs. also, complimentary coffee and tea is offered all day long (also to go cups). in addition, there are many dvds available to watch from the front desk with no additional charge. one of the negative things is that you have to leave your key every time you leave. we had to wait several minutes sometimes to get buzzed back in the hotel. also, the walls and doors are very thin. one night, other guests woke us up with slamming doors and talking. however, overall, the experience at the hotel was a positive one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is in Zone 2 of the London public transportation system. We each bought a day ticket for Zones 1 and 2 for ₤6.60, which allowed us to travel to nearly all of the tourists spots we wanted to go to.
