Hotel location (very near High Street Kensington, with all the shops)

Dated decor, very small rooms, extremely pricy internet access!

The hotel seems like a 4-star hotel from the 70s, with the dated decor and the old fittings. However, room was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel seems to cater a lot to tourists on large groups today, so reception is always understaffed and with a line behind it. Nevertheless, price is ok and location is excellent

Restaurant Tip : There is a Marks & Spencer about 300 yeards away from the hotel...get some food there and save on the breakfast charges

The location was good and close to tube lines.

Room was small and bathroom was poorly planned

The staff was very helpful and the location was great because the hotel was close to two tube states. Ther also, is a Whole Foods store and a number grab a sandwich joints near by or in the tube station. The rooms were small but very quite. The wi fi was not that great and the lobby internet was a pain to log on and get to a site like MSN. There are no safes in the room but you can get a safe deposit box in the lobby area but you have to give a 50 pound deposit for a 1 pound key?? Its refundable if you return the key but if you lost it??? Also, if you go to the earl court tube station there is a lot more going on in terms of restraunts and pubs. The area around the hotel is kind of dead.

Nightlife Tip : Head for Earl Court station if you want to do something near the hotel at night. Its about a 15 minute walk, but worth it.

Old hotel, but well run Guest Rating: 6.7

- Reasonable price for the service - decent breakfast

- old hotel - next to the railways (you only hear a little bit as the windows are quite good, but still)

about 200 meters away from High Street Kensington subway station - easy to get anywhere from there.

Hotel Feature Tip : If you go through the store Boots you are even quicker at the subway station

Nice sized rooms. Meals of a good standard and hot with plenty of waiting staff to assist if need be. Easy to get to from the underground station and close to amenities. Local restaurants and shop in High Street Kensington close by.

Probably would only consider as a 3 star. Decoration a little tired. Room may overlook the underground tracks with the associated noise that could mean.

This hotel in a great location only a short distance from High Street Kensington tube station. Staff were abundant and extremely helpful. Room was comfortable, shower was amazing( fabulous water pressure) and lighting in room was great for reading. Good Thai restaurant down the road and good Indian restaurant on Abbington Street nearby.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good room

Price

Of the 5 hotels we stayed in during our time in England and Ireland, this was the best. The location was excellent, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was spacious and clean and it was the only one of the five where the room temperature could be regulated by the guest. Breakfast was included in the cost but the day rate was about 25% higher than the other hotels but still better value for money given the combination of the above. Bottom line is that we would certainly stay again and would certainly recommend it to our friends.

nice initially, the room wasnt 4 star. Guest Rating: 6.3

friendly and helpful staff, very clean and tidy.

the room was not up to a 4 star standard, next to tube line. noise!

On arriving at the tara copthorne hotel my first impression was of a clean and tidy luxurious 4 star hotel, the staff were very helpful and friendly. on arriving on the correct floor for my room i could smell dampness which grew stronger the further i went down the corridor. The room was clean and tidy but was not up to 4 star standard, having stayed in travelodges and similiar hotel rooms, it was hard to distinguish between their rooms and the so called 4 star Tara Copthorne, one thing that is also not mentioned is that all the rooms at the back of the hotel back on to a tube line and without other noise in the room you can hear every train that goes past. Overall: A very impressive lobby and reception but unless you have an upgrade to a better room there is no difference between this hotel and a travelodge.

Clean, comfy bed,

Cafe staff member very rude when I asked for change to use their internet. Was told that I had to purchase something to get the change, as a hotel guest i think they could have been more accommodating (Maybe suggest i go to reception to get change)

A nice stay at the Tara Copthorne Hotel. Pleasantly surprised by the comfortable room i was allocated. Reception staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Ordered room service, nice meal, prompt and friendly service. Breakfasts adequate and very busy which seems to be the norm in London. Only hiccup was with a female staff member at the cafe, maybe she was having a bad day.

Hotel Feature Tip : Use the lane across the carpark to access the tube station and shops

Location and easy parking.

Cannot think of any.

The Copthorne Millennium Hotel is a real find situated just off High Street Kensington and only two minutes away from the Tube Station and major shops. We enjoyed the friendly welcome and comfortable room which served as a base for easy access to the West End. We would stay there again.

Great location near the High Street and public transport. Excellent alternative for the West End and shopping - very near to Knightsbridge. The comfortable room had all the amenities you would expect. Very pleasant staff who made me feel welcome and went to a lot of effort to make sure I had everything I needed for my stay.

A good business class hotel with all the services I needed for a short stay. The rooms are of a good standard with a good level of comfort and are well appointed. The location is handy for the local shopping and for getting into the City or to London's airports.
