Ground floor converted courtroom lit by a huge vaulted glass ceiling and framed with original English Oak panelling. Notable features include the judge’s bench, dock and witness stand which are in their original setting. The menu is based on the historical silk route through Italy, the Middle East and Asia, serving dishes from the different regions with á la carte and tasting menus. Open for dinner every evening except Sunday.
The Carnaby
Informal restaurant with light, modern decor and a brasserie-style menu offering light Italian breads, salads and fish dishes. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and brunch at weekends.
The Waiting Room
Colonial-style tea room with palm trees shading the terrazzo floor from the natural light provided by the vaulted glass ceiling. Open for breakfast, afternoon teas, coffee and desserts every day except Sunday.
The bar
Featuring stone-clad walls, and floors in contrasting black Indian Mica slate, the hotel bar has low leather seating and a black, cream and copper colour scheme. The Bar is home to the last three remaining prison cells in the building, which have been turned into private booths each seating 6-8 people and are available for private bookings. Serves a selection of light dishes including canapés and paninis, along with a wide range of spirits, cocktails and juices.
