Dolphin Hotel London Info
This charming Victorian era building houses the rooms of this boutique hotel named after a fish. This property was built in 1850 and has been many things over the years. Its location so close to the tube and so many tourist attractions ensures that it will be a popular address. The rooms range in style from one to two to three bedroom setups. Rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities which is nice because the restaurant only served breakfast. Views from the hotel of the garden are very nice.

Close to everything. Paddington train station is a short walk away. Train to Heathrow.
Room nothing like the picture on the internet. No lift for bags. Not good for disabled and no fire escape.
We booked this hotel influenced by the price, pictures of room and location. The location didn't dissapoint, the breakfast was a good start to the day. But the room was not great. We were travelling with our teenagers (two) and didnt expect too much for the price. However we ended up with bunk beds (old chewing gum stuck to sides) and old woollen blankets covered in (someone elses) hair. The bathroom would not be good if you were overweight. It was a plastic cubicle which seemed to have been slotted into the room. The thought of fire worried me especially as we were three stories up a steep staircase. Have since stayed in other hotels all over the world and this was one of the worst.
London is expensive though. Staff (except for the gentleman who checked us in) could have been friendlier.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Opposite Paddington station entrance there is an open top tour bus of London, it was great as things are spread out and this got us to all the must see tourist attractions (hop on hop off).
