This hotel is within walking distance of several attractions: British Museum, Oxford Street, Soho. There are several restaurants nearby (haven't tried them, though)
If arriving by train from Europe: bus to/from St. Pancras station stops almost in front of the hotel.
Beds are quite comfortable, though single room is a bit small.
Breakfastbuffet is quite good

Room was lovely but very small. Bathroom very cold, towel rail heater not working so had to get plug in radiator. For double ropom B&B it is overpriced, however most hotels in London are.
Restaurant Tip:
Hare & Tortoise restaurant in Brunswick Square next to Russell Square is amazing.

Very comfortable rooms which were quite big for the centre of London.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Right next to the British museum. If you are travelling around by bus the number 59 goes from Kings Cross down to Waterloo and on to Kennington.

A very enjoyable stay at The Double Tree Hilton, West End, celebrating a Birthday.
A great base for a trip to London, that is centrally located. Good tube and bus connections to be able to get around London quickly and easily.
We managed to see a show, visit the Tower of London and did plenty of shopping!
Restaurant Tip:
Hawksmoor in Covent Garden is great for food! Book in advance though.

stayed at this hotel many times in the past, decided to give it a try for a weekend getaway under the hilton umbrella. was not disappointed, its a friendly, service friendly hotel. the lobby/bar area has 3 huge screen tv's, great bar service for drinks or eats. our room was a tad small, but comfy and nicely decorated. the breakfast was well laid out with everything you would expect from a buffet. all in all, we would definately return, the immediate area is very convenient for the west end either by foot or a taxi which are plentiful right outside the door.

excellent service received from reception and concierge. very helpful staff. welcome cookie was a plus point for this hotel and it actually tasted really good. single room was not too small for my fit. clean room, however there wasn't a fridge. reasonable price for its location and conveniency. 24hrs minimart just next to hotel. will definitely be back in this hotel again.

I stayed in Doubletree for 6 nights. It was a small room with a single bed and en suite bathroom. Nevertheless, the room came with tea making and TV facilities which made the room size a bit bearable. I slept well as the surroundings were quiet at night. The welcome cookie was one of plus points staying in Doubletree. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby the hotel. Go to Casmoba Italian Restaurant and The Swan Pub which was just a few minutes away from the hotel. You could also get your groceries and water easily from the 24-hour convenience store, Tesco Express next to the hotel. Love the warehouse book store near the hotel which sells cheap classic novels and CDs. Two parks, Russell Square and Queen Square are located close to the hotel. Great hotel surroundings.
