The room was on the small side but met our needs. The hotel had a lovely old-world feeling and the staff were friendly and helfpul. The bar/ sitting area downstairs was lovely - we spent an evening playing scrabble there (we only wish the fireplace had been lit - it would then have been perfect!). Having the V&A and Natural History Museums so close, in addition to the Royal Albert Hall (we went and saw Kings College Choir perform there) just really made it for us. We were also walking distance to Hyde Park and Oxford Street too.

Although initially we were disappointed with the idea, it turned out that the room was much larger than the upper level rooms. It was nice and quiet, clean and spacious and very light. We were very pleased with our stay and would go back. Restaurant Tip: Be sure to check out the restaurants in Thurloe Square
