Stayed here before so did notice it was looking a little tired but, it is now under going a revamp! the staff were just as helpful and absolutely lovely, as was the breakfast.
When it came to the food the cooked was perfect as was the cold buffet. I would not hesitate to stay again I like Islington and
hotel is perfect for the underground. Staff need to be commended!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
if you like charles dickens do go and visit the museum

Excellent location with a smile
Location with great restaurants close by coupled with close proximity to underground station

I arrive very early in the morning to the smile and warm hospitality of the front desk despite the cold outside.
I have always stayed at this hotel when I travel to London for work. We use to get special prices at Esporta gym since this hotel does not have a gym. Unfortunately with Virgin Active I found that this is not the case which is a shame.
If you are there during the major holidays please ask for a room away from the front entrance. As I travelled in early December there were loads of merry making into the wee hours of the morning which means that I could not get a good night sleep which was not welcomed.
