Necessary stay due to ridiculously early flight.
The only good thing about this airport is its proximity to the airport

Overpriced and unpleasant. Wifi only available if you are lucky in the very noisy public lounge bar area, unless you want to spend an extortionate amount on a licence for access in your room (GBP15). Altogether a horrid experience. Poor signage from the airport, long haul up a relatively steep slope up to hotel, felt like a transit camp. Food was stale and tasteless. Staff were bored and disinterested. All in all it felt like a small part on a conveyor belt. The only logical reason to stay at this hotel is because of a crazy early flight the following morning.

The rooms are dated and the bed was really uncomfortable hard.
I also had trouble sleeping due to the noise coming out of the hallway. Really flimsy walls.

Good Location but Dated Hotel

Apart from the location of the hotel i would not recommend this hotel. The room I stayed in was very dated and worn. The lights did not work and neither did the cooling. Internet coveraged spotty at best. After arriving from a late flight was dissapointed to find out that the in room dining stops at 10pm.

Connected to airport terminal. Next to railway station from London. Nice bar.

We stayed here because we had an early morning flight. It adjoins both the train station on line from London and the air passenger terminal, which proved very convenient. Otherwise there is nothing special about the hotel.

No problems with the stay, the room although large dated and the bathroom would benefit from renovation, serious rust on shower rail and not what I would normally expect from a 4 star hotel.

Staff were very welcoming when I arrived just before midnight. The room was clean and comfortable with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Bathroom was clean and functional with a good shower, plenty of towels and nice toiletries. The hotel is much quieter and the staff far nicer than the other 4 star hotel at the North Terminal (which shall remain nameless!!)
Breakfast was excellent - attentive service and a good range of hot and cold dishes.

Worth paying extra compared to other nearby airport hotels as is 2min walk to terminal
Downside - old ugly 70s concrete construction and hallways are dated and smell of cigarette smoke.
