My room was modern, comfortable and beyond my personal expectations. It is a much better deal than anticipated.

Noisy to the extent my room was adjacent to the bar area. Nonetheless, the quality of the room, compentcy of the staff made up for the small defect.

I recommend this hotel as a great value for the common traveler. Location is superb, very near Paddington Station and the neighborhood is full of small restaurants and little treasures. It was suggested by staff that I eat at the Victoria pub located a couple of blocks from the hotel. Very nice place but my mood was Chinese and there, next door, was this elegant upscale Chinese restaurant. It was 2 in the afternoon, they were opened, and I dined alone with a gracious luncheon that met the equal of any such restaurant I had been in world wide. Expensive, yes! Worth it; Of course. Cab fares were reasonable going between 10 to 20 pounds depending where, in the city, one wished to go. I was lucky and got a a couple of gregarious drivers and learned more from them than any tour bus could have provided.
