Great location by Hyde Park. Very friendly staff

The lift is tiny - about big enough for 1 person and luggage. But then, there's only 4 floors, and it's sort of quaint.

Charming hotel in an excellent location, as it's right on Hyde Park but it's only a short taxi ride to Paddington Station and the Heathrow Express, or Mayfair. The hotel has a slightly worn look, but i think that's part of its appeal. It is extremely good value, for the location, as the rooms are big enough, there's internet connection and breakfast is included.

Location is good.

Noisy & Dirty Rooms.

I selected this Hotel based on location and the positive reviews I read from other sites. I was extremely disappointed. My room was dirty and had not been vacuumed while I was there. The manager is unfriendly, the rest of the staff (all foreigners) are actually trying hard to make you feel comfortable. However the Hotel needs 100% renovation and I would never stay there again. I suspect the positive reviews are all written by the manager herself to elude travelers.

There is a bus stop at the door of the hotel but do not take bus on weekdays.

Directions :
From the M3/4 (West and South West), the motorways run into the A4. At the Natural History Museum turn left onto Exhibition Road and continue straight through Hyde Park. Turn left at the first exit (Victoria Gate) and after a few metres, by Lancaster Gate underground station, move to the right hand side of the road to arrive outside the hotel.
