ideally located next to underground station

being singaporean and away from singapore for almost a week, we were thrilled to find a bugis street restaurant situated within 100m from gloucester london hotel. the taste brought us close to home singapore with food such as laksa, char kway teow, sambal kangkong, etc. satisfied our craving indeed!

Great location, just steps away from Gloucester Road tube station. Large room and good amenities. Services at the Concierge and Reception were very good too. Unfortunately, London hotels still don't 'get it' that it is NORMAL to have free wifi in 4-star hotels. So, you still have to pay for wifi here.

I enjoyed my stay at Millenium Gloucester London. The best thing about the hotel is the location, just a 2-minute walk to the Gloucester tube station where the Piccadilly line stops. There's also a lot of cafes and restaurants surrounding the hotel, plus a Tesco express and Waitrose for supermarket needs. There's a laundromat on Cromwell Road, about 10 minutes away.
I can't judge the hotel facilities since I didn't use any. The hotel service was fine and satisfactory. My main negative about the hotel is the prohibitive wifi costs (20gbp/24hrs). I don't understand why some hotels want to make money as internet providers when that is not their core business.
Other than that, I had a pleasant and satisfactory experience. I would stay at the hotel again if there was an opportunity to do so.

The hotel's location is great within 2 minutes walk to the Gloucester Road tube station. The area is peaceful and beautiful with splendid Victorian architecture houses around the area. It is within walking distance to Hyde Park and all the Kensington area tourist attractions. The rooms were nice and decent sized. However some of the fittings were a bit old but in good working condition. Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the London bicycle to explore the city. There is so much more to see on the bike. There is a docking station right outside the hotel.

very close to the underground station

the hotel is located in a good area, close to many restaurants and shops. it is located right in front of the underground station; therefore transport becomes easy all over london. the area is safe throughout the day due to its location. on the other hand the hotel is very old, i was told that it was built in 1875, therefore you have to be a fan of classic furniture to like the place. each room has a different size, i was lucky to get a big room.
