Rooms are small, creaking wood floor, thin walls

Didn't have a peaceful sleep because of the creaking floor inside the room and along the corridor - esp when people return late at night until early morning. Could hear neighboring rooms conversations, TV, flushing of toilets and banging of doors/cabinets. Road traffic can be heard as well.
Shopping Tip:
Go to Potabello Market which is a bus ride (27) or by subway. We prefer taking the bus to anywhere to be able to see tourist spots along the way. Check buses from Paddington from internet and most buses will pass through every main attraction in London. Train services are very unreliable, we had 2 incidents that we waited for Circle and Victoria Lines for a long time only to be announced that it was suspended. Good thing we had info on bus routes (from major stations)in hand (downloaded from internet).

Great location; only 5 mins from station. Hotel is cosy but most of the staff are unfriendly. Seems like they have a problem smiling. Hotel is cosy but creaky. The floorboard creaks whenever you walk over it! Can be a little disturbing in the middle of the night!

consider with the price, it's a very good location eventhough the decoration are rather old and small.
But it's very good to access to many attraction spots and a direct train to Heathrow Airport.

Staffs are very sociable, friendly and helpful. The room is a bit small but tidy and neat. Hotel's locaiton is excellent. Very near to the Paddington train and metro stations. Hyde Park and lots of museum are nearby.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Across the Hyde Park, there are several museums worth to visit and they are free of charge.

This hotel was much better than we expected for the price and location: friendly staff, well located, as much free tea and coffee as you could drink. The breakfast was good too.
We had a twin when we'd expected a double, but it was a decent size, with a clean and well-sized en-suite bathroom. Getting a consistent shower temperature was a bit of an artform, but otherwise we were very pleased. I definitely recommend the hotel. The walls were thin so we heard our neighbours, but not excessively so. The road outside is not especially busy so traffic noise did not bother us at all.

We stayed there for the last day of 2010, the price is not reasonable since our room is small. You just don't feel you are staying in a 3 star hotel. Good location which closes to tube station, but the map description is not clear.

I was on a business trip, needed a Hotel near Paddington, and this was very close to train station to go directly to Heathrow airport in few mins.
Also i wanted it near oxford street. Some friends recommended me this place and it was worth it.
