This hotel is excellent value for money, when you're looking for a base close to O2 Arena, the Excel or London City Airport. It has very clean, spacious and modern rooms with power showers! Mine even had a nice "sea view" on the Royal Victoria dock. The hotel is newly built with massive walls and there's no disturbance from other guests. There's a car park but the hotel is also walking distance to the Excel and the airport! O2 Arena is only 4 DLR stops away and Prince Regent station is 300 yards down the road. Breakfast buffet is okay.
Now to the Cons:
The hotel is a bit far off. It takes ages to get back to civilization. Apart from the hotel's own bar/restaurant and a pub across the carpark, the only (mini) foodstore around is 600 yards down the road. Also don't lose your mobile/cellphone or fall into the pincode trap while staying here. There are NO working phones in or around the hotel that would allow you to call abroad for a decent price. I had to buy a calling card from the food store and it only worked from the concierge's desk.
The DLR station is a high-built with no escalators, so bad luck when the elevators are on strike and the bags are heavy. The elevators also smell of pee. The guys really should have used the hotel lobby bathrooms...
Very clean, spacious and modern rooms with power showers. Close to the O2 Arena and London City Airport.
The hotel is a bit far off and needs to install some working payphones.
- Shopping Tip : The only local convenience store is hidden on the corner of Prince Regent Lane/Churchill Road.
Walk up to the DLR Station and turn right into Prince Regent Lane.
