Royal Garden Hotel London Info
Feel like a Queen, or at least a dignitary, at this property where the park-facing views take in the Palace and Round Pond.
Prepare to be fussed over at the Royal Garden Hotel, located near the corner of Kensington Gardens, by the High Street Kensington tube. This is a privileged address shared by London's affluent and the services, amenities and general air of the property reflects that. There's nothing dramatic about the decor- light woods and subdued natural tones dominate the rooms and even the hotel itself adopts a hushed, almost anonymous persona. This kind of atmosphere bodes well for those seeking a luxurious London retreat where the allure of Soho or and Knightsbridge's shopping is just as easy to access as it is to escape.

The Tenth Bar
The Tenth Bar, overseen by Philip Osenton, is one of those addresses Londoners like to keep to themselves – a private haven with one of the best views in the capital. Many come here for a pick-me-up after shopping; others, for a drink before a meal at the adjacent Tenth Restaurant. It's a great place to meet prior to a concert at The Royal Albert Hall, and is fashionable spot for locals. It is also a sky-high bar with a sense of occasion.

Park Terrace Restaurant
The Park Terrace Restaurant is located at lobby level, adjacent to Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park. Open from 6.30am to 10.30pm daily, this is the beating heart of the hotel, catering to all tastes at all times of the day. Menus are overseen by Executive Chef, Steve Munkley.

Food, Drink and Entertainment
The Royal Garden Hotel offers something for every mood, from a quick in-room breakfast for the business traveller (room service is 24 hours, and includes a Lebanese selection) to a decadent gourmet feast at The Tenth, our headline Modern European restaurant with dramatically romantic views of London.
The Tenth Restaurant Norman Farquharson’s gastronomic cooking at The Tenth Restaurant is matched only by the view - across Kensington Palace Gardens and Hyde Park towards the capital's tallest landmarks. Tables are well-spaced, occupying a fresh, contemporary space, and the atmosphere intimate, overseen by Restaurant Manager, Philip Osenton.
Menus are Modern European with eclectic accents. It is a constant celebration of flavours, including a smattering of Asian imports. Classic French cooking techniques are employed, and there is a respectful reliance on what is fresh and seasonal.

Park Terrace Cafe and Bar The Park Terrace Cafe and Bar are both located adjacent to the Park Terrace Restaurant, and share the latter's relaxed, informal style. They are popular meeting spots throughout the day.
At the Cafe, afternoon tea is a highlight, with views of the Park. From the comfort of your armchair, enjoy silver platters of sandwiches, scones and pastries, and classic English leaf teas.

Helpful staff that helped us get the most out of our short stay.
Location, location, location.
Having to phone up to have tea and coffee facilities delivered to the room.
This hotel was great as far as location goes. Right on the doorstep of Kensington Palace and Gardens, which would make it ideal for fitness fanatics for fresh air walks. Shopping areas were right on the doorstep as well as the obligatory English pub. The staff were very helpful with suggestions regarding tourist activities. They suggested we catch the London Big Top Bus which had a special on of 22 pounds for 48 hours and then to locate where we wanted to go. When asking for an authentic English pub (not so commercialised) the staff suggested a nearby area and also gave us maps to help navigate our way. I would certainly stay here again. Only downside was having to ask for tea and coffee facilities in our room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the London Big Top Bus that stops over the road to map London but make sure you take an umbrella if you sit up stairs. If you want to sit upstairs, the early bird catches the worm.
