Above Tube station (Lancaster Gate) and overlooking Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was a cold buffet of moderate quality - sliced cheese all dried up, only fresh fruit was salad. Coffee and tea from a big thermos, poor quality. You can 'upgrade'to full breakfast for only 2GBP extra, but that just means your choice of one hot menu item, with all the above still.
Our room had a connecting door & the next door guests were very noisy.
Towels are stiff and hard, not at all fluffy.
Rooms need decorating - our wallpaper had marks all over it.
Room cleaning good but 3 vacuum cleaners left on the corridor constantly.
Tea & coffee not refilled, but bizarrely milk & sugar were. No water provided, despite there being a card saying water with our compliments. I asked about this but nothing happened.
Thai restaurant - maitre d' very friendly but all waitresses barely adequate. No interaction, no smiles, did not check on our enjoyment. Obviously not happy, unusual for Thai waiting staff. Food was v good though!

the location is good. the hotel locates near Lancaster gate underdrand station. (central line) the hotel is near Hyde park and Bayswater.
location is very good in central London.
It is in very safety area.easy to go to Bayswater by 20 mins walking.
hotel people is very nice and friendly to help all visiters. big parking area in hotel.

beautiful view of park and surrounding area. Very clean and nice pillows. air conditioning took a while to cool the room. The hotel was great. My wife and I were at the end of a great honeymoon and we ended up staying at perhaps our favorite hotel on the last day. It is close to the Tube, which is literally right around the corner of the entrance of the hotel. We were upgraded to a suite on the 17th floor and we could not have been happier.
Shopping Tip : Take the Tube from this hotel to Oxford street for some of the best clothing shopping. Soho is a great area.
