Convenient location.

size of the rooms - extremely small.

While the Hotel is well located with 3 underground closeby and also easy access to EC (London's commercial district, beginning with Fleet Stree) as well as Aldwych (called Theatreland), the biggest drawback is that the size of the rooms are extremely small. I had booked a Superior Deluxe room, and while the room image shown on web seemed quite big, in reality, it was a very very small room. I cannot imagine staying in such a dingy room for more than 2 days.

I was very happy with the room ameneties the front desk and conscieriege were helpful it was a five minute walk to National Gallery Breakfast was included in price hotel was on tube line to Heathrow

the elevators broke down a couple of time. room was on strand side so it was noisy

In general I enjoyed the hotel. Compared to my friends who were in different locations, I felt that I got the best deal. The location was ideal. I was in walking distance to many of the museums. Though it was on a main street and a little noisy, when I went around the corner there were a number of small quiet streets with many good restaurants. For a single room, I thought it was a nice size. It was clean stark and simple which is the type of room I enjoy. The room was sound proof. One of the added conveniences was that it was on the Picadilly Line so Heathrow was 4Pounds away rather than the 55 Pound cab trip. Breakfasts were great. I'd recommend and stay there again.

Restaurant Tip : behind the hotel there are a number of small, good , inexpensive Indian restaurants

True value in an expensive capital Guest Rating: 8.3

A great location "in front" of theatreland with close tube access.a several million pound makeover gives a modern, clean look to rooms.remember london rooms are small.a most knowledgeable and helpful conceirge service.

No air conditioning can be a trial at certain times.

It is hard to fault the strand palace for a large very busy hotel.a good breakfast buffet is handled like a military operation but it works.restaurants and bars are more relaxing and spacious havens at the end of a sightseeing day. Reception is competent.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use the oyster travel card and look for off peak travel deals.be prepared as entry is charged for most key sites.leicester square really does offer the cheap theatre tickets you've dreamed of.eating outlets abound at fair prices in an international city.
