Worn down. Crowded. Few and slow elevators. Busy and simple breakfast. I like the hotel because it is old-fashion. It is superbly located. Pretty quiet as well. It is a bit worn down though and some routines are slow and complicated. Friendly staff though. Some fixing and up-grading would not be bad. Good value for the money. Terrible coffee but tea is OK.

Its location near the University Its rank is 3 stars
The room is small and no aircondition The main reason for staying in this hotel is its location near the University of London which I was in visit of this Uinversity that time.

I'd never used agoda.com before and I'm not sure I will again, despite having already recommended it on the basis of the rate offered. In fact, given the continental breakfast, the rate wasn't all that great. It's unnerving to find that the hotel takes no responsibility at all for you if you book with agoda.com, which is in turn a booking company you've never heard of before.

I love traveling and what I always check about the hotels where I stay, is location. If the location is strategic, I won't be fuzzy about anything else. And when I come across hotels like Tavistock Hotel, I always come back, brilliant location and real good warm service. Two thumbs up!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The stop for the tourist buses is just around the corner from the hotel!

The price for using the Internet on the computer in the lobby is way too expensive. I'm afraid I have to inform you about this unfortunate issue. There might have been too few (and flat) pillows and an absence of toilet brush.
Travel tip : If the nearest tube station (which is Russell Square) is chockablock / jammed / crowded / packed (like sardines in a tin box) then choose Holborn and the Central Line instead.

It is hard to believe that the frontline of hotel – receptional and waitress can use such bad attitude, impolite tone to serve their customer. For me, I will definitely not visit this hotel again and suggest my colleague, relative and friend not choosing this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : British Museum is very close.
