Water was extremely hot - fine but no warning. Very helpful staff. Bar and food prices were very high with surcharges

Solo travelers United States of America, December 19, 2012	Absolutely Beautiful Hotel Right on the River Thames, Gorgeous Grounds, and Friendly Staff 9.7 Windsor is a good base for travel to England. It is a bit far from London but not too far for a day trip into the city and the quiet is nice. The Manor is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are huge! Unfortunately, I became extremely ill while I was there but the manager took great care of me making sure that I had plenty of toast water and fruit. All in all it is a lovely place to stay and you won't be disappointed. I would recommend trying to eat in town though as the food is very expensive. Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The Windsor Castle is in walking distance for people who like to stay a bit active during their vacations.

Families with young children Malaysia, December 14, 2012	great place with excellent service very friendly service and beautiful place 10 the oakley court is beyond our expectation. the place is great, simply fabulous! elegant entrance with very well maintained rooms. with the amount that we paid, we were surprised with how pleasant the place is along with the very firendly service. all staff greeted us with smiles; and the staff were very accomodating to our queries about the place. our rooms were at the west wing; despite being on the lower floor with no lift, the concierge was very helpful with our luggage (though even without the concierge we were happy to manage our luggage as the entrance level was halfway up / down and just next to the driveway.) the whole estate was like a castle and the gravel front yard added on to the historical feeling. the garden and huge compound was beautifully kept. i believe it is river thames that flows right behind the oakley court and that added on to the serenity of the place. excellent place indeed and we are very very glad to have chosen the place. we took lots of pictures and spoke about how the place would look and feel like during the spring or summer. the oakley court must be very beautiful at other times too and we know we will definitely come back! Travel tip: Breakfast was sumptuous!

It deserves more recognition Pleasant and cultured 10 We were very surprised as we approached the hotel with its private winding road and main building. It gave the feeling that we jsut discovered a rare gem in the middle of nowhere. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room decor is simply lovely. We felt like we travelled back in time and were ourselves were the novelties. Surrounding is excellent. We look forward to going back in spring and summer.

Bar meals were a good alternative to a full dinner and not expensive. As we chose not to go out in the rain, it was a long trek to the East Wing.

Fantastic setting on the riverbank with opportunities for walks and boating. The lounge has a nice real log fire for cosy winter evenings and a good English menu in its restaurant. Hotel Feature Tip: The small gym, pool and spa make it an ideal choice for a self indulgent weekend away.

However,guests are still looked after very well by attentive and knowledgable staff and never feel they are being sidelined by larger functions - which are mainly held in separate areas. The Spa, which is due to open in November, will be a welcome addition to the pool and gym area. A friendly, clean hotel in an ideal situation. No lifts inside but ramp leading into the hotel.
